About LCDS

Lane County Dental Society is a component society of the Oregon Dental Association and the American Dental Association. LCDS provides continuing dental education programs for our member dentists and their staff. Our CE programming provides our members access to the latest developments in dental science and technology through guest lectures and presentations. CE programs cover a range of topics from infection control and medical emergencies to cultural competency and record keeping.

Understanding how to diagnose these implant-related diseases, determining the etiology of the disease, and ultimately treating the disease is critical for general dentists and specialists alike. This presentation will cover non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis, surgical implant repair, and when to consider implant removal and replacement.

    Infection Control & Cultural Competency with Membership Luncheon

    Attendees can attend one class or both, with the option to participate in the annual LCDS Luncheon and Business Meeting. Our Infection Control course will review infection prevention for oral healthcare settings according to the most current CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health Care Settings and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. Scenarios will be discussed to assist dental professionals in identifying risks and applying standard precautions to break the infection cycle. During the Cultural Competency course, we will discuss the significance of cultural competency in healthcare environments and explore the disparities within the United States and Oregon.
