About our speaker Cindy Hull:

Cindy has been a senior compliance advisor with Smart Training for over 6 years. Smart Training is a compliance company with over 30 years of experience assisting over 14,000 dental professionals with their OSHA and HIPAA compliance needs.

Cindy graduated from Lane Community College as an RDH and later obtained her Expanded Practice Dental Hygiene endorsement. She attended the University of Oregon majoring in Community Health Education.

Prior to her vocation change, Cindy worked in Oregon as a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 40 years practicing in various clinical settings. Cindy’s passion for training found her spending her spare time volunteering for Scouts BSA. Once Scouts BSA recognized her enthusiasm for leading change, she was recruited to train volunteers on leadership development. She was then selected to be on a national task force to update BSA’s Wood Badge one week leadership development curriculum, which is an international training program for adult leaders. She has been awarded Scouts BSA’s second highest award (Silver Antelope) for exceptional character and distinguished service and recently trained Scouts BSA’s National staff in Texas.

Cindy values establishing relationships to find common ground and she tries to see dental practices through the eyes of an owner. She then looks for practical suggestions that are relevant to each location and works with existing protocols. She feels that take-home messages are the most important use of presentation time, and that people’s values need to change before they see reasons to change their own behavior. By coaching and mentoring, she feels that small incremental changes work best.

She is long time member of the ADHA serving as president for her local component, and OSAP (founded in 1984), which is an organization that advocates for safe and infection-free delivery of oral healthcare.

She has two grown children, 5 grandchildren and loves spending time with family. After the loss of her husband, she has found her soul mate, and enjoys ballroom dancing, music, and international travel.
